About ground conditions and seismic hazard of the territory in the norms of earthquake-resistant construction of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan
18
Keywords: ground conditions, eurocodes, intensity, maps, oscillations, NEOS, norms, periods, code of rules, seismic hazard; seismic zoning
The article presents the results of the analysis of a separate issue and the experience of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the consideration of ground conditions and seismic hazard of territories in the norms of earthquake-resistant construction, which currently differ significantly from approaches based on the provisions of SNiP II-7-81* adopted in similar Russian documents.

On the assessment of the reliability coefficient of masonry under various variants of its stressed state (in the order of discussion)
25
Keywords: masonry reliability coefficient, types of masonry stress state, probabilistic methods
The main provisions of the updated version of the new regulatory document — SP 15.13330.2020 «Stone and reinforced stone structures» — are analyzed in terms of the methodology for assessing and accepted values of the reliability coefficient of masonry, taking into account its material (brick, stone and cellular concrete blocks) and the type of its stress state (compression, stretching during bending and cutting along the tied and unbound sections). It is noted that the accepted approaches on the assignment of the reliability coefficient in the new standards are not scientifically sound. The above inflated values of the reliability coefficients do not ensure trouble-free operation of the structure. It is stated that the purpose of any regulatory document is not to achieve maximum structural strength reserves, but to find an optimal compromise between total costs and reliability. Safety margin coefficients should be based on scientific research and be economically justified. It is noted that this condition corresponds to a probabilistic approach to assessing the strength characteristics of masonry elements with the transition from grades of materials to classes. The data on the values of the reliability coefficient adopted in the norms are analyzed and some inaccuracies in the assignment of these coefficients are indicated, which are taken in a voluntary way and do not correspond to the real state of affairs. Based on the analysis of research in the field of structural reliability, it is shown that the transition to probabilistic rationing of the strength properties of mortar and bricks and masonry in general using classes will significantly increase the reliability and trouble-free of brick structures being erected. The ways of solving the problem of increasing the reliability of stone structures in the case of the use of probabilistic methods in assigning strength characteristics of masonry elements are considered

Engineering seismology methods application for operational inspection of the residential buildings technical condition in Katav-Ivanovsk, Chelyabinsk region

Keywords: earthquake, inspection of buildings and structures, period (frequency) of natural vibrations, maximum displacement velocity, vibration velocity, engineering seismic surveys, seismometric monitoring, microseismic tremor, seismic recorder
The article describes the application of the seismological method of microseismic registration to solve technical problems, in particular, the survey of residential apartment buildings. The aim of the study is to detect possible hidden violations of load-bearing structures when examining the condition of a significant number of buildings in Katav-Ivanovsk, Chelyabinsk region, after a recent seismic event in September 2018. Examples of the use of microseismic oscillations in the analysis of the state of multi-storey buildings in several works by Russian and foreign authors are described. The objects were evaluated according to several dynamic characteristics, such as the frequency of natural oscillations, the logarithmic decrement of attenuation and the maximum displacement velocity of the structure at the measurement point. In order to scale the standard method of inspection of construction objects and the efficiency of the process, the authors proposed to reduce the duration of recording microseisms, instrumental support for the experimental part was implemented using a three-channel seismic signal recorder and a velosimeter of domestic design. The results of observations and measurements are compared with standard values, the values of dynamic characteristics for houses of various types are given and systematized

Influence of pile barriers on Rayleigh seismic wave scattering
40
Keywords: earthquake, seismic waves, surface waves, Rayleigh waves, anthropogenic waves, pile barriers
Today, territorial seismic protection methods with various barriers are almost the only solutions used to protect territories from surface seismic waves. The article discusses the process of scattering Rayleigh seismic waves on pile barriers. Model studies were carried out to calculate the determination of reduction coefficients in the protected area, which make it possible to assess the effect of pile barriers on reducing the level of vibration when Rayleigh waves act in it. Based on the obtained reduction coefficient data, the shadow zone behind the barriers is presented.

On the assignment of design loads on structures in case of deviation from the requirements of SP 14.13330.2018 "SNIP II-7-81* Construction in seismic areas"
45
Keywords: safety, earthquakes, intensity, national standard, multilevel design, repeatability, set of rules, seismic impact, earthquake-resistant construction, expert method
The article presents approaches and an algorithm (expert method) for assigning calculation coefficients and load values for multi-level design, in case of deviation of real construction conditions from the requirements established in the current regulatory documents, using a specific example and objects. Together with other publications of the authors of the study, the results of which are presented in this article have the ultimate goal of auditing and clarifying the substantive part of some provisions of the current norms (SP 14.13330) concerning the issues of determining seismic loads for the design foundations and ensuring the mechanical safety of structures.
